Coping well with the corona crisis

How you can cope well with isolation and lockdown.

Anxiety, worries and isolation – the current coronavirus pandemic and the related lockdown and self-isolation measures are creating completely new challenges for people in Austria and elsewhere. COVID-19 is having an effect on all of our lives and also our interaction with our partners, children, families and friends, as well as employers.

In order to help as much as they can in the current crisis, the Association of Austrian Psychologists (BÖP) has created an information leaflet which shows how psychology can help us to deal with lockdown and self-isolation at home as well as possible.

In five categories, practical tips are offered for coping with overpowering fears and worries, and recommendations are given on how to deal with children and young people and how one can respond to emerging conflicts or violence.
