Reporting Dangerous Products

We encourage consumers to inform the authorities about their experiences or accidents in connection with dangerous products. The relevant department in the Federal Ministry is pleased to receive your information.

Please share your experiences or accidents with hazardous consumer goods. It is only with your help that we can take timely measures and thus have a chance to prevent further accidents.

You can send us your information either:

• by email to the Product Safety Department at produktsicherheit@sozialministerium.at
• or in writing to the Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection, III/2 – Produktsicherheit, Stubenring 1, 1010 Wien.

Please describe how the accident happened (what, when, where, how, which consequences) and send us all of the available information about the product (manufacturer, type, seller, data of purchase, price, etc.). Please keep the product so that we can check it if needed – but only if this is possible without endangering yourself!
